I think you belong on the list. I think Rollins & Joffe are bushholes. I think: where are the women? I think what about Chris Hicks?

George Carlin was very funny; not so much when his humor turned cynical. I think the hardest thing in the world is to make someone laugh. Where is the link to your articles?

Richard Pryor's story is very sad. No comment on Woody Allen. Never heard Lenny Bruce perform. David Brenner's humor is gentle. Robin Williams' talks too fast to catch every word.

Don't see Chris Rock often. Surprised your choices don't include any female comics: Carol Burnett, Elaine Boosler, Andrea Martin, Joy Behar...YOU! xxx Thanks for sharing, Joan.

I'm sorry to see you didn't put Sam Kinison on your list, Joan. The guy was hysterical. It takes a great commedian to get more than a smile out of me, and Sam made me laugh loud and often.

It was ironic to me that when Saturday Night Live replayed its first show in 1975 with George Carlin one of my favorite comics had a short film on,Albert Brooks.I mentioned him the other day on your blog regarding Carlin so that was wierd that they happen to show up together on the tribute.Carlin had said in interviews how stoned he was on coke for that show and you could tell. , Other comics I forgot to mention Alan King Rodney Dangerfield and Bob Newhart.

For your list: Woody Allen - not. you forgot Totie Fields, Paul Lynde, Don Rickles, and Rip Taylor (mostly visual schtick, but still hilarious). And YOU of course!

Besides yourself, RODNEY DANGERFIELD !! OH MY GOODNESS. and Sam Kinison. What about Jackie Mason! I must confess, I still think Woody Allen's stand up is good (not his most recent movies!)

Joy Behar did not heed your advice to keep her hatred for Bush/conservatives to herself. She has gone off the deep end with her bitterness. She's not funny anymore.
